McMinnville Turkey Rama and
Downtown Festival
July 10-12

Each year thousands of people flock to McMinnville for the food, fun and entertainment at Turkey Rama. This year's event, themed "The Turkeys, They are a Changin'!" alludes to the exciting changes to this year's festival. Now co-sponsors of the events, the McMinnville Area Chamber of Commerce and McMinnville Downtown Association have many activities planned in historic downtown and other locations throughout McMinnville.

Newberg Old Fashioned Festival
July 24-27
The Newberg Old Fashioned Festival brings food, games, parades, entertainment and carnival rides while also remembering the interesting history and traditions of this friendly town. An annual event since 1981, the festival offers something fun for everyone.

Carlton's Walk in the Park
August 2 & 3

Carlton's Walk in the Park, a benefit for local charities, combines fabulous artists and musicians with outstanding local restaurants and wineries for one magical August weekend in Yamhill County's wine country. Garden art, nursery plants, distinctive entrance through a colorful quilt display and a classic car show add to the festivities under the soaring oak trees in Wennerberg Park, just west of historic downtown Carlton. Local social and civic services in the Yamhill-Carlton communities are the sole beneficiaries of this classic summertime Event.

Evergreen Space Museum

Evergreen Launches Space Museum

The Evergreen Aviation Museum is famous for the world's largest wooden flying boat, the Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose, and the world's fastest aircraft ever built, the SR-71 Blackbird Now visitors also can enjoy another world class addition - a new space facility.

The facility features a 35,000-square-foot space gallery that includes dozens of authentic space artifacts, full-scale replicas of spacecraft and interactive exhibits and simulators all used to tell the story of spaceflight.

The centerpiece of the new facility is a Titan II SLV missile.  With this new exhibit, guests can participate in a hands-on missile launch experience.

The museum also plans to host a series of educational programs and space camps.

The Evergreen Space Museum is the largest space museum ever to be constructed on the West Coast.  The 120,000 square foot facility complements the museum campus and reflect the same design as the home of the famous Spruce Goose.
